what are you doing right now?
now, tell me, if you could be anywhere today, where would you be?

now, tell me, if you could be anywhere today, where would you be?
i made the "risky" leap to full-time online journalism -- with aol canada -- about two months ago. many a person told me the place to be was not with a "portal site." they definitely warned me against joining a company like aol -- people couldn't believe the family of websites could stage a comeback to dominate online content (as was the company's plan).
obviously, i didn't listen.
the energy of the toronto office, the chance to work with amazing people and the job opportunities available were things i couldn't ignore. they were also reasons i firmly believed aol would "beat the internet."
today, aol took a major step in that direction by acquiring one of my favourite news sites, the huffington post.
and, as part of the merger, my new boss is a woman i've admired -- for her work ethic, strong spirit and love of life -- for several years, arianna huffington.
how's that for a reminder to always follow your gut instincts instead of what other people tell you to do?
(ps: the images above are some of aol's fun new logos! which one's your favourite?)
