which is why my rainy weekend plans revolve around these bacon chocolate chip cookies (yes, bacon) courtesy of the fun little cooking blog, weekend.

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup melted butter or bacon grease

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp vanilla
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 lb bacon, cooked until crispy and chopped

mix dry ingredients in small bowl. mix melted butter and sugar in another bowl. add egg, yolk and vanilla into the butter and sugar mixture and mix until creamy. stir in dry ingredients. fold in bacon and chocolate. spoon onto baking sheet and bake in a preheated 375° oven for eight to 10 minutes.
