n is for notebooks

i'm a writer, so it's only appropriate that i'm obsessed with notebooks.

i write in one every day -- to make to-do lists, life goal lists, etc.

these options from emilio braga via kiosk are super chic and are perfect for the "thinker" in your life.

g is for greening my thumb

i don't have the greenest of thumbs (though i grew up working the land in my parents' "garden of eden" backyard).

i aspire, one day, to have a patio full of plants and vegetables and window boxes full of spices (i am currently growing some in an aerogarden from canadian tire... we'll see how that goes).

i particularly like the idea of planting items in these recycled barrels (via design sponge). they're super cute, non?

ps: if you have any patio greening tips (or books i can read on the topic), please pass them along!

d is for decorating

i just moved into my own apartment and am having a fabulous time decorating it.

my goal is to fill it with a ton of life-acquired treasures.

the hard part will be to balance my anti-knick knack sentiments with showcasing my finds in a unique way.

i love the way jordan ferney over at oh happy day has mastered the look i aspire to perfectly. her home was recently featured on design sponge.

i'm sorry i'm so obsessed with prints right now (they're not the only things to brighten my day, promise). but when i saw a post about unknown prints on design*sponge, i couldn't resist giving the site a shout-out, too. look at what these artists can do. it's all awesome.
